NetWatch was started by Lars König in 2023 as a way to identify attack-clusters and understand the large amount of SSH brute-force attempts seen against his personal infrastructure. By day Lars leads a SOC for a major insurance company, during his free time he likes picking up a challenge to make the internet a saver place for all by not only making a problem visible, but also doing something about it!
Florian Wahl brings a wealth of security operation and incident response experience to the NetWatch project, playing a pivotal role in its scaling efforts. With his expert coding skills, Florian has been instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and scalability of NetWatch. During his day job, he specializes in large-scale incident response, leveraging his knowledge to protect organizations from cyber threats. In his free time, Florian not only supports projects like NetWatch but also serves as a dedicated member of the fire brigade, saving lives and contributing to community safety. His commitment to making the digital world safer is an inspiration to all involved in the project.
Leon Wallner contributes to the NetWatch project with a strong focus on AI-driven security solutions. As a student passionate about end-to-end AI development, he explores how machine learning can boost cybersecurity and counter emerging threats. Within NetWatch, Leon focuses on DevOps and Machine Learning, enhancing the project's automation. Leon believes AI has the power to protect people and organizations from cyberattacks—and he's excited to be part of that mission.
